Who needs it more? As a mother, I've come to realize that certain clothing doesn't always encourage the innocence of this age!
My story begins when my daughter grew out of little girls' collections and heirloom styled dresses, but we could not find tasteful choices out there for her new "size". Clothes were either too "cutsie" or wa-a-a-a-ay too suggestive! Clothes were often poorly constructed, and almost always overpriced for the quality- and enough with the polyester!
I knocked the dust off my sewing machine and we set off for the fabric shop. I picked, she "icked"... I made suggestions, she made different suggestions...
Finally, we found our magic: I gave the "okay" for stylish, age appropriate pattern designs, but she gave the "okay" for sassy, hip fabrics she (and eventually her friends) could be excited to wear!
It was an instant hit!
